What is a Care Navigator?

Carethrough hires and trains anyone interested in a career in healthcare and/or human services.

We provide paid classroom and clinical training in the medical department to prepare applicants to be Care Navigators.

A CareThrough Care Navigator is a revolutionary concept in modern medicine. Traditionally, physicians have focused on patient care when the patient is in front of them in an office, Emergency Department or Hospital, but today’s healthcare industry requires providers to support patients and their health when they are outside of these care settings as well.

Care Navigators work with medical care teams and patients to understand underlying social and lifestyle factors in patient’s health, provide support towards positive change and aim to make the care team more efficient in their care through better understanding of a patient’s situation.

For someone interested in a career in medicine or human services, the chance to become a Care Navigator is unlike any other opportunity available. It offers exciting one-on-one collaboration with a physician, and is unprecedented in its level of exposure to real medicine in practice.

A background in medical scribing and navigation services is quickly becoming the standard for pre-medical experience, and is suggested by medical school acceptance committees across the country. The competition to become a Care Navigator is intense, and the demand for Care Navigator services across the country has never been higher.
